'Straight Outta Syria'
A short documentary made on the Lebanon-Syria border, during the height of the Syrian refugee crisis. In the UK, politicians repeatedly refused and dehumanised refugees, with the Prime Minister describing them as a ‘swarm’. Our film hoped to give an insight into the individuals caught up in war, and their universally relatable passions and dreams, following three young brothers and their love of rap. Made in collaboration with education charity Theirworld, and screened on the BBC and across the Middle East.
